Wall Monogram

I was doing some research to help a friend out with a project involving painting a wall in a child's bedroom and came across this on the HGTV website.  This is such a cute idea and the painted boxes create an additional detail to the wall.  The process is fairly easy and would look great in a kids room.  Love this!!

Ahhhh....the magazine

HGTV is launching their own magazine!!!  I watched the making of the magazine show this past weekend - and now I can't wait!!  HGTV stars and their design tricks, fun and fast mini-makeovers and much more! {Insert sarcasm here} My husband thinks its fantastic that after 20 or more hours of watching HGTV shows during the week, I can now supplement the HGTV experience monthly with a slick, new magazine.  Yea, just bought my introductory subscription for $15! 

Finally...

Ok so I've gone and done it.  A dear friend (you know who you are Robyn) was trying to convince me to start a blog.  When would I have the time, would I REALLY have anything to say?  Well, the wheels were spinning and I realized I have a lot to share about design - whether it is rooms I love, trends in home decor, projects I am working on or maybe just something that inspires me.  This blog will be a chronicle of my love affair with design.  I look forward to this journey and hope you find something here that inspires you to add a little extra beauty to your home.
